Everything you need to know about Spinal Energetics, QHHT, coaching, and what to expect before, during, and after your session.

Spinal Energetics is a somatic, body-based modality that works with your nervous system and spine to support greater coherence and regulation. Rather than doing something "to" you, I guide your own system from a place of presence. The work honours your body's natural intelligence and helps complete unfinished physiological responses that your system has been holding as protective strategies. Think of it as a conversation with your body — gentle, non-invasive, and entirely led by your own pace.

Massage works directly with muscles and tissue through physical manipulation, and chiropractic adjusts spinal alignment through manual force. Spinal Energetics works with the energetic and nervous system layer of the spine. There's no cracking, deep pressure, or physical manipulation involved. Instead, I facilitate your body's own process of reorganisation through gentle touch, breath, and somatic awareness. Your body leads the session, and I follow.

Spinal Energetics works with your nervous system and somatic responses, which are very real and measurable. You don't need to "believe" in anything for your body to respond. The approach is grounded in physiology, not mysticism. Whether you think of it as energy, nervous system regulation, or simply body awareness, the process meets you wherever you are. Skeptics are absolutely welcome — your body knows what to do regardless of what your mind thinks about it.

Talk therapy works through the mind — you process experiences cognitively through conversation. Spinal Energetics works through the body. Many of our protective strategies and unfinished responses live below conscious awareness, held in the nervous system and tissues. SE works with those somatic patterns directly, which is why you might experience physical releases (tremors, waves, deeper breathing) rather than talking things through. The two approaches complement each other beautifully, and I always encourage clients to continue any therapy they find supportive.

Spinal Energetics is for anyone looking for body-based nervous system support — whether you're navigating anxiety, overwhelm, emotional patterns that seem to repeat, or simply a feeling that something in your system needs to shift. It's particularly well-suited for people who feel like they've "done the mental work" but still carry tension, reactivity, or holding patterns in their body. Clients range from busy professionals looking for regulation to individuals on a deeper personal development path. The only requirement is openness and willingness.

That depends entirely on you, your goals, and how your system responds. Some clients feel meaningful shifts after a single session. Others prefer ongoing sessions as part of their wellness practice. Each session builds on the previous one — the benefits are cumulative, and your nervous system develops greater capacity over time. After your first session, I can help you figure out what feels right for you moving forward. There's no pressure, no minimum commitment.

QHHT is a deep hypnosis technique developed by Dolores Cannon that guides you into a very relaxed state — similar to the moment just before sleep — where you can access past life experiences, deeper self-understanding, and insight from what we call the Subconscious (or Higher Self). It's a profoundly personal journey where you explore questions about your life purpose, recurring patterns, relationships, and anything you've been carrying. I'm a certified Level 2 practitioner, which means I can work with the full depth of the technique.

A QHHT session is a longer, deeper experience than most modalities. Plan for approximately 4 to 6 hours for the full session, which includes an in-depth interview where I go through your questions and intentions, the hypnosis portion itself, and a post-session debrief where I share what came up. I know that sounds like a lot, but the time passes quickly, and the depth of insight makes it worthwhile. You'll want to keep your schedule clear afterward to rest and integrate.

I start with a relaxed, conversational interview where you share your questions for the session — anything you've been curious about or carrying. Then I guide you into a very deep state of relaxation where your Subconscious can bring forward whatever is most relevant for you right now. You might experience vivid imagery, emotions, insights, or a deep sense of peace. Afterward, I debrief with you and share what came through. Most clients describe the experience as profoundly meaningful. You stay safe, aware, and in control throughout the process.

QHHT Level 2 is the advanced certification in Dolores Cannon's method. Level 1 covers the foundational technique, while Level 2 training goes deeper into working with the Subconscious, navigating complex sessions, and handling a wider range of client experiences with confidence. It means I've completed both stages of formal training and have the skill set to work with the full depth and nuance of the QHHT process.

Coaching sessions are a grounded, supportive space where we work through whatever you're navigating — overwhelm, life transitions, clarity around decisions, or patterns you want to shift. I bring 15+ years of teaching experience and 100+ hours of coaching training into the room. Sessions may naturally weave in elements of breathwork and Reiki when it supports the process. It's not prescriptive or formulaic; it's a real conversation tailored to where you are and where you want to go.

Coaching is for anyone who needs a place to land. Maybe you're in a season of transition — career change, relationship shifts, personal growth — and you want someone who can hold space without judgment. Maybe you've been doing inner work and need support integrating what's coming up. Or maybe you're overwhelmed and just need a clear, grounded perspective. If you're looking for practical support with a holistic lens, coaching might be exactly what you need.

If you're looking for body-based nervous system work where your system leads the process, Spinal Energetics is a great fit. If you'd prefer a conversational space to talk through what's happening and get clarity, coaching is the way to go. Many clients do both — SE for the body layer and coaching for the life-navigation layer. Not sure? Reach out and I'll help you figure out what makes sense for where you are right now.

Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows you to move freely. Think yoga or loungewear — anything that lets you breathe, stretch, and be at ease. You'll want to be able to sit, stand, or lie down comfortably. Avoid anything restrictive or overly structured. There's no special outfit needed; just come as you are.

The most important preparation is arriving grounded and open. You might want to set an intention or bring a question to explore — but it's not required. Drink water beforehand, eat something light, and plan to have a quiet, restful space to return to afterward. Let go of expectations about what "should" happen. Trust your body's intelligence and timing. There's nothing you need to study or practice in advance.

Safety is my top priority. Before booking, you'll complete an intake form that covers your health history, mental health, medications, and any recent events. Some conditions require a conversation with me first, and some may need clearance from your doctor. Spinal Energetics is not recommended during the first or final trimester of pregnancy, and there are specific postpartum guidelines (6 weeks for vaginal birth, 8–12 weeks for c-section). If you have any concerns, please reach out before booking and we'll make sure you're fully supported.

Sessions follow a gentle, structured flow. We begin by connecting to your breath and doing a spinal check-in to see where your body is today. From there, you anchor into your body through the sacrum, and a natural wave of movement and awareness builds along your spine. Your body may express through gentle waves, tremors, deeper breaths, or subtle shifts. We close the cycle with grounding and a post-session check-in where you notice what's changed. Nothing is forced — your body leads the entire process, and I'm there as a guide and witness.

No. Spinal Energetics is gentle facilitation, not painful manipulation. You may feel physical sensations — warmth, tingling, waves, or movement — but these are your body's natural expressions, not pain being imposed on you. Some clients describe intensity at moments when a deep holding pattern is shifting, but it's never sharp or harmful. You're always in control, and you can pause or stop at any time.

Absolutely, yes. Your comfort and safety come first, always. You are in complete control of your experience. If at any point something doesn't feel right, you can pause, speak up, or stop entirely. This is a collaborative process, not something being done to you. I'm here to support you, not to push you beyond where your system is ready to go.

Every experience is valid. Some sessions involve visible movement and emotional releases; others are quiet and subtle. The absence of dramatic sensation doesn't mean nothing is happening — your nervous system can be reorganising in ways that become clear over the following days. Some of the most profound shifts happen below the surface. Trust the process and your body's timing. There's no "right" way for a session to look or feel.

Give yourself space. Rest, stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous activity for the first few hours. If you feel called to journal, do. If you want to nap, do that too. Your body is integrating, and it needs a gentle environment to do its work. Don't rush back into a packed schedule. Think of the hours after your session as an extension of the process itself.

Yes, completely. This is what we call the reorganisation phase — your nervous system is processing and integrating. You might experience emotional sensitivity, deeper sleep, vivid dreams, temporary fatigue, changes in appetite, or even physical sensations like warmth or tingling. This is a sign that something is shifting, and it typically settles within a few days. If any emotional distress intensifies beyond 3–4 days, reach out to me and I'll make sure you're supported.

Shifts can happen at different timescales. Some clients notice changes immediately — a sense of lightness, ease, or clarity leaving the session. Others notice subtler changes over 3 to 7 days as the nervous system completes its reorganisation. Longer-term, the cumulative effect of multiple sessions tends to produce the most lasting and noticeable shifts. Try not to measure results in the first hour; give your system time. The body integrates at its own pace.

I generally recommend leaving enough time between sessions for your system to fully integrate — typically a few weeks, though this varies from person to person. After your first session, we'll talk about what spacing feels right for you based on your goals and how your body responded. There's no rigid schedule; it's about listening to what your system needs.

I'm a trained Reiki practitioner, and Reiki energy work is woven naturally into my Spinal Energetics and coaching sessions when it supports your process. Rather than offering standalone Reiki sessions, I integrate it as one of many tools available during your session. This means you get the benefit of Reiki within a more comprehensive approach that also includes nervous system regulation, breath, and somatic awareness. If Reiki is something you're drawn to, you'll likely experience elements of it during a Spinal Energetics or coaching session.

Yes — breathwork is a fundamental part of my practice. It's integrated into both Spinal Energetics sessions (the process begins and ends with breath connection) and coaching sessions where conscious breathing supports regulation and presence. I don't offer standalone breathwork classes, but breathing techniques are woven throughout the work I do. If breathwork is important to you, you'll find it naturally present in every session.

Sound wellness is an area I'm actively exploring and developing. I work with singing bowls, tuning forks, and other instruments as part of my ongoing learning. It's not yet a service I offer to clients, but it's something I'm weaving into my practice as my experience deepens. If you're a fellow practitioner with experience in sound therapy and you're interested in exchanging skills or collaborating, I'd love to connect — reach out through the contact page.

You can book directly through my online scheduling system. Head to the booking page, choose the service that interests you, and select a time that works. If it's your first visit, you'll complete a brief intake form so I can understand your health history and goals. If you're not sure which session is right for you, feel free to reach out via the contact page and we'll figure it out together.

Spinal Energetics and Coaching sessions are $80 (45 minutes). QHHT sessions are $300 (5–6 hours). Reach out directly for information about packages.

Life happens, and I understand that plans change. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel — at least 24 hours is appreciated.

No. Spinal Energetics and QHHT are complementary practices — they work alongside, not in place of, professional mental health care or medical treatment. I will never diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or suggest you stop seeing your therapist or doctor. If anything, the work I do with you often supports and deepens the benefits of other care you're receiving. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical concerns.
